Running better
Running better on my 14..Have a Tsukigi pipe,lowered,62 or 63 inch, foot shifting, shinko tire not the ultra soft, stk.front sprocket 44 on rear,p.c.Think that is the mods..Went a best of 1.488 60ft.3.969 330ft 6.028 1/8mile 118.72mph..Another run was 1.502 60 ft.3.984 330ft.6.038 119.20 mph..Getting better but not near enough to what I want..The more I ride it I keep finding the mistakes I make in launching it..Maybe someday I will be able to run a little closer to what Smokin and Bently run...Just do not seem to have the mph.they have..Love the bike so hopefully I will improve..Still can't imagine getting the 330's in the low 3.80's..I know it can be done so I will keep trying.

ambull Keep a close eye on your tack and shift points ..... Try to shift right before the rev limiter .....The limiter kicks in right at 11400 on your factory tack ...Try to shift right at 11200 to 11300 and your MPH will pick up ....I know it not easy to do but you will get the hang of it .... If you do hit the limiter it will cost you a 10th of a second so don't do that You should be right a 121 to 122 with the ETs you are running know ....Smokin..

Smokin what do you mean I should be at 121 122 with the et's I am running now??Bike runs great and throttle response is great..Just does not seem to run much mph..Never had it on 1/4 mile...I also am foot shifting..Most of the time I shift it pretty fast as the trans seems to work great...Do not know if I will ever be able to run the 330's you do or even come close..As you say though seat time helps..I pick up et each time I go to the track..Alot different racing the 14 than the Busa I have...I like both the 14 and Busa and glad I have both of them...Thank's for the help Smokin...

On the stock shift lite i can not tell you where to set it because i never used it myself.... I just can't see that little light .....
On your MPH i'm going by what i seen other guys and mine run....Mine had close to the same MPH as yours when i first started racing mine ...As i got better at my shift points and tucking in real tight my MPH picked up ...Yours will pick up with more seat time ... Another member named Burnout had MPH problems also , after i got him to shift right at 11200 to 11300 and got him to tuck in real tight and real fast he picked up the missing MPH ......
One other thing that might help you ....Use the 330 cone in the center of the track as a marker .......When you leave the line look for the 330 cone , now how far before you got to the cone did you have the throttle pinned ??? I see a lot of guys that are passed the cone before they get the throttle pinned and didn't even know it.....This will help you get the power on sooner...If your to late getting WOT you will now know it and be able to fix it......After you get good at that you can use the 60 cone to tell when you got the clutch out... My clutch is out before i get to the 60 cone and my throttle is pinned shortly after . You will not be able to do it right off the bat but with seat time you will get it . Give it a try , i think you will like it.. Smokin..
