Ryan told me this week they are hoping to make Indy.
I'm hoping they do great but like you guys said.......it's tough. They're the best of the best.

I would not say the best of the best...........

They are the lightest and shortest of the best...............

Pro Stock bike is a matter of genetics, as it is skill..............

Only real problem I have with the class..........

add 50 lbs to everyone, and then it would be a great class, cause eveyone could race in the class...........

That won't help, the light riders can just add weight where they want it. Plus the shorter ones can hide behind the windscreen better. If they add more rules the top teams will be the first to figure out how to take advantage of them. There is no way to make everyone happy when it comes to racing and rules. If I could change rules, bikes like your couldn't race in the "street ET" class. There would be a limit on length and no multistage clutches. Make the rider "ride" the bike. Your bike and a wheelie bar bike have the same advantage, just throw the cluch away and cut a light. But that would just be adding more rules that we don't need, just get out there and race.

Yes, but, it would let there be more bikes in the class.......

How does Hines "hide" on his bike.............?

Look at treble, he is out MPHing everyone....., so he has the power, but he cant get the et.........

if you have the mph, you have the hp, , they should be able to qualify first with the mph they have been running............

If Craig finds the clutch tune to go with the HP they are making, he will be flying........

And dont give me that he has the same leased motor crap, cause they all have different carb tune ups, and carb sizes.......

Same reason I can out et some one with more hp, I am getting the most out of it.......

And if you outlaw a multi stage, some guys could not run, due to them having too much hp.

I know guys that run turbos in street et, that have to have them, or they could not finish the day on clutches......., anyone can get one, and whether you have one or not, you have to dial it, and cut a light........

If muzzy can make the hp, I have no doubt that they will do well............

I hope his new clutch is better than his old lock up he made for the 12 though, or they should have bought an mtc. LOL

It will work fine though, cause the 14 does not have a pull rod like the 12 from what I understand, never looked at one that close though...........

Maybe GANN will make his new clutch setup for the ZX14. From what I've heard it's a lot easier to setup, like a slider. Just has the hand clutch leaver to make it legal.

I didn't mean they should really outlaw multistages in street ET, just making an example about rules. I don't care what rules they have in street ET, some races I run both classes pro and street on the same ZX12. You just have to draw the line somewhere and you're not going to make everyone happy.

Even if you don't have a fairing bike the smaller riders are able to get out of the wind (hide) better that larger riders.

If it is actuated by a lever, it cant work like a slider........

the gann clutch does not have the adjustment that the MTC mutli stage uses, it cant, not with three arms vs 6. The mtc can be set in 4 stages.............

I just hate that skill is not totally what gets you in the class......., size is a huge factor, sometimes more than skill.........

A 6'2 170 lb guy can still compete in road racing............

Not in PSB.

Is Larry MrBride one hell of a rider.........., Hell yeah, he has more guts than 99 percent of racers..........., but he is huge........

Ridden by a rider with only 1 hand! Designed and made by Bear Engineering and Raced for the first time in August 2006. The only problem was, the rider could not hang on well enough to get it into the 8's!. This year that was cured by a Lot Larger rear seat made by Catalyst Racing!

GANN has a new clutch they were talking about on Psychobike that works like a slider but has a clutch lever to get around the slider rules. Cost was 3200.00!!!
I've been trying a few things on my dad's ZX12 trying to get it where he can ride again. He has Parkinson's and has problems with his left hand. Adapted a Harley twist clutch to his bike but he didn't like it. Going to try a multistage next with light spring to see if he can use just two fingers to operate it. Don't want to go with a slider because he rides on the street.

IT CAN be done LOL..........I have also seen a Promod bike with a slider, and had a clutch lever to help it from creeping in the lights because they had it adjusted/setup so close to the stall it wanted to creep...It worked pretty good...Check it out...
