Karl, when you get it lined out, I need to come tune the clutch......., TFA will be rollin, especially when I can just read the data logger.......

That vid had tire spin...., right now, with the new set up I found......., it is lifting the tire about two inches about 20 ft out, and carrying it till second......, but only about 2 to 4 inches........, its diggin hard........., but I think she has more left, plus, I have not extended the rev limit yet, that will be done over the winter.........

Good thing I am seeing is your 1427 is staying a 1427, and not a paperweight..............

If that thing lives, I want one.........

I am hoping hard for 5.7s this Sat night......, there should be a front of high pressure coming in behind this cloudy weather........

And I am down to 158lbs with my diet. not bad for 6'0 tall. Watching what I eat is really helping, and a little exercise.......

Well......., got it finished. .423, .445, .446, .443, and .426 lights, shallow staging on the pro tree...........

He he.............., and lived at LOW 5.8s. Thats all it will do on a bad track, without spinning, I am happy witht he lock up tune..........

Bad thing is......., last pass int he semis , heads up......, .423 light, 1.41 short time......, hit third just before 330, and ughhghghghghh..........., let off, shut it down............

Push back to trailer............, next morning............., spun 4th rod bearing.........., I guess it is 4, the one next to the clutch, that you can see from the clutch housing with the basket out.........

They go thier fastest before they blow..........., well, I caught it first..........., gotta pull it to see whats up, ..........

thinkin about selling it as is................., any takers?, put a stock motor in and all the goodies are there........, see above............

nox,
you have it ROCKING!!!

bad bearing??? pfffftttt... no big deal. you caught it in time. How many passes on that motor? time for a lil refresh anyway.

take a few hours to get that bullet on the bench and split the cases.

Send the crank to Marine, for a couple hundred bux you can fix that journal. New rod and some bearings and you are good to go in a month max.

thats what I am hoping.........., I had the bike soooo good. Nothing stock internals will run with it that I have found around here, there was a built busa that was quicker, but no match for my 420s and 440s on the pro tree........, holy cow that is cool to snap the pro tree like that. Hooking the shinko like mad. Fixin to go out and pull the pan off right now and see what the other three look like, then pull it out.

Not sure if I want to build it, or at least put a set of 1317s in it or something.........

The muzzy site, said 200 hp with no cams........., doubt it though.

I need to come to the track and tune the TFA multi stage for you, and see what your monstor will do..........

the prob with the 1317 is offset bores...

I have fixed that prob but it means opening up the wrist pin boss to boss width (a semi-solution), or much better yet offsetting the rod journals and trimming the clutch drive gear.

I have "some parts" if you decide to go that route.

Come down to Houston in Nov and help me tune my clutch, and i'll give you a pretty darn good deal on the parts!

If I aint doing anything, we may have to do it. Let me know the details, and i will try. I knew there was something weird with the 1317.

Sounds like ye ol 1290 is the better solution, or 1361.

Send me a pm with a parts list, and cost if you dont mind. Trying to find out where I am right now. Killing me, I am supposed to sign a sponsorship with a large trailer company this week......

ye ol 1290 is a great, dependable, and low maint solution.

1317 doesn't add that much cc and brings on a whole constellation of issues.

But you might wanna try the 1317 with my used parts. I have a sidelined block and set of pistons which are fine for building a 1317. Who knows, that config might live just fine???
