Cylinder wall thickness on coated bores

I measured a zrx 1200 block and it averaged around .160. The usual overbore on this engine is roughly .080 or 2mm which would leave the walls at around .120 thick after boring. Just wondering if anyone knows or thinks they know what would be the minimum thickness for an everyday engine, no turbo or nitrous. I would be nice to know the thickness on a zx1270 kit and a 1400 busa kit also.

I do beleive that the ZX12 and Busa both have larger bores being run on the street with out
problems. If you live where its hot then heat may be your main issue, or traffic. Check out what the ZRX people on here and other sites have to say.

hey Ken,
you didn't ask about the 87mm zx12 billet block

.160 between bores, .180 front & back
