ZX12, stock w/b and 16 T sprocket...yay or nay?
I'm lowered but not slammed down and I run -1 up front, no spray 9.65 @ 148. I trap at the very end of 4th.
Is the extra grunt of going -2 up front worth it for lower ETs or will I just wheelie all over the place? I can spray 2nd gear 40 shot and get no wheelie....I mainly have wheelie problems 60ft to 330. A good 60 = a crap 330 and vice versa for me, lol.
Thoughts?
I will probably slam it if I go 16 but wanted to hear what people thought. I have cut down front forks (2 inches or so) and a lowering link in the back. I'm lightweight though as are the carbon wheels.

Ali if you go 16t in the front and 44t in the rear that will stretch the stock wheelbase as far as it will go.I run a 16/44 set up stock wheelbase and my best time is 9.78@145.I am 2x the size of you so it will probably work good. The 16/44 gearing comes out close numerically to the 17/46 you just get a lil more length.

I hear you on the longer wheelbase. Sounds like you think that I would go quicker at the strip with 16/44 vs going 16/46....
How diff do you think the time would be?
Could the added GRUNT post-wheelie make up for the exasperated wheelie situation that it also causes?
Any rough guess on what it would run? Something about the idea of 16/46...I dunno....for street roll-ons sounds nice! Any idea how much wheelbase one gains from going 16/44 vs 17/46? An inch? That would help!
