Exhaust for mods
I am currently running a stock motor 12 with just an Akrapovic...no power commander. Thinking about going with a 1290 and head work in the future. I looked at my exhaust headers on the Akrapovic and they are slightly smaller than those on Ti Force. Would the Akr be OK for a built motor? Or would it breathe better with something with slightly larger head pipes. Any thoughts on that?

Yes...the bike will see lots of street duty. That's the reason a sidewinder is out.

If I were you I would sell it and use the $$$ towards the 14...
If not then leave the Akrapovic, take out 1/2 the packing to let it breathe more, after you do the motor...

I'd just keep the akro for now, maybe a propipe if you squeeze the 1290. Holla when you get it broken in...we need a rematch!

The Problem is, you cannot Chrome the TiForce but you can the Akra
The 1290 or 1270 Kit will not make enough difference for the amount of time and work involved. Just keep what you have and install a Muzzy Wet kit in the airbox and have 60 to 70 more HP WHEN You need it!
Otherwise you may not even gain with the 1270 or 1290 because the Break in is DIFFICULT to say the least and it is totally how you seat the rings on how much power you make! Also you can get a Chrome NOS Bottle

Har de har har with the Chrome jokes Vince! But on a serious note? How much can I spray on stock pistons?
Shiphteey...I want a rematch, but this time, we set them still for a quater!
I'm getting the Ti-Force for a super price, I think I'll get, dyno both of them, provide the results to the site and sell the one I'm not happy with.
