Target for 1270?
Just fitting a 1270 kit and an airshifter. Based on my previous best of 9.51 @ 149 with a 6" arm and pipe (footshifting), how much can I expect to improve d'ya think?

I have only had 2 passes on my 1270 but given the extra HP that my butt dyno has felt and the airshifter -
I am guessing around 9 teens at least. You may put yourself in the high 8's if your really good!
Good luck and let us know what you get down to!!!!

ahhhh...... a contest!
OK, let's guess, but 1st you gotta tell us:
1. how much do you weigh?
2. what is the altitude of yr track?
3. are you related to Ricky G?
4. do you have any revealing pix of yr ex-wife?

Isn't it about 1 tenth for every 'extra' 8-10hp for bikes in our basic power/ET range?

contest?
1) 160llbs + gear
2) Sea level or thereabouts (I'm in the UK)
3) Unfortunately not!
4) Yes, thanks
I don't get to ride very often so I'd like a realistic target which could be achieved without doing a million runs!

A realistic target without doing a million runs??
9.20's @ 157-8 should be doable pretty quickly, teens and 9.0's with practice, maybe even 8.90's with serious practice.
how about those pix of the ex????

BA,
What did you degree your cams too?
I know muzzy recommends adjustable sprockets,
BUT ARE THEY REQUIRED.
Any risk of damage if you don't,
or just not get all the power?

Degree what?
Ninja12, I've never adjusted the cams in my bike. Sorry man!
....and in case there's any confusion, the numbers above are my speculation for ol Lorcan,..not any kind of numbers I produced! Heck, I've never hit over 151.x on my bike!
I've seen some numbers around here for cam timing, but I don't believe i've ever saved them for reference. (kickin' myself in arse right now)
I only remember numbers around 101 - 104 or 105, can't remember intake vs exhaust, but I thought that the intake was a couple of degrees short of the exhaust setting.
