ALWAYS Load before you leave home and unload when you return.

Sounds to me like you just need to eliminate leaks in your system. That way you can turn the bottle on when you get to the track and leave on it on until you are done for the day.
Use a squirt bottle with soap and water to find the leaks. Also make sure the seal in your solenoid is not leaking.
If you have any AN fittings that give you trouble, use these:

These little seals work like magic.

Rob,
thx for the site reference, they seem to have all the fittings needed.
I am new to playing with airlines, fittings, etc.
How are they sized? tube size = 1/8"??? I'm looking at my bottle, regulator, solenoid and there are no tubes, just fitting matching to fitting.
I need a quick course in AN fittings

No Problem
AN Specs are for hardlines outside diameter in 1/16ths. For example -3 fittings are used on 3/16 OD hardlines. Flexible stainless overbraid lines can be used in place of hardlines when needed. The flexible lines are made to have the same flow-rate as the hardlines they replace. Therefore the actual line diameter is not referred to when choosing flexible lines.
Typically on motorcycles we use:
-4 from the bottle to solenoid
-3 or -4 from solenoid to distribution block or shower head
-3 from distribution block to nozzles
The WRENCH SIZES used on -4 lines:
9/16" on the female nut (line)
1/2" male (fitting)
on -3 lines:
7/16" nut
3/8" fitting
Hope that helps,
Ill give a more detailed breakdown when I have time.

Sorry, I just realized that you aren't specifically talking about a nitrous system.
Most of what you are looking at are probably not AN fittings. The tapped hole connections in your bottle, regulator and solenoid are pipe threads (NPT).
I prefer to use NPT to AN adapters wherever possible so all my lines are AN.
NPT fittings seal on the threads and need Teflon tape or paste to seal correctly.
AN fittings are a compression seal on a 37 degree flare.
NPT size refers to inside diameter of the pipe that threads into the tapped hole. I would bet that most of your stuff is 1/8" NPT

Rob,
Since I have the Muzzy air shifter, it is high pressure and i do use nitrous to power it
Your info above is EXACTLY what i was looking for, both NPT and AN
I owe you are beer! Make that 2 beers.
Can I pay you the beers at the Texas Mile in Oct?? You are coming, eh?
