WAS THE BLACK BIKE A FIGMENT OF THE IMAGINATION OR AN OUTRIGHT LIE?

standard fare for a 21 year old courier. I was arrested for do doing 65 in 30mph zone going east on constitiution avenue by a Park Police Officer. He didn't charge me for reckless driving or the 7 sequential lights that I went straight thru from the lefthand turn lane. He caught up to me at 9th street (a light that you deffinately don't want to run. He skidded his forrest green plymouth satilite sideways coming to a stop in the lane next to mine (scared the ever living shit out of me) drew his gun from behind his opened car door and said "UNLESS YOU'RE A MESSENGER FROM GOD, YOU'RE GOING TO JAIL"
When he took me to the Haines point PD station he had to argue with his sargent that I was not driving recklessly. He said it was "a nice piece of driving, just too fast" LOL. It was 8:30 am and when I asked about bonding out of jail he told me that I was going to court TODAY! and that I WOULD BE THE LAST ONE TO SEE THE JUDGE AT 5:30pm. Then they took me to the DC Jail where I spent 9 hours watching them shackle a dozen convicts together at a time (that were in my holding cell) and shipping them off to Lorton Penitentuary (Prison). I pleeded not guilty and later negotiated with the "Cooperation Council" to lower the charge to "Unreasonable Speed" and paid the $25 fine. SWEEEEET!!!

On the same note the guys that do run on their bikes from the police are the ones that give the rest of us bad names. Even if he was or was not at fault, we all get a bad rep.

So why is everyone so quick to condem all cops as the result of the actions of a few.
IMHO the bike should have stopped, If your gonna run, pick your time and place, a busy beltway would not be my first choice. (or second)

Cop gave chase instead of simply recording the tag # and arresting the guy as he was foolin' with the wifie-poo later that night. Rider guilty- yes. Renegade reckless cop - incredibly guilty. Bet cop has problems sleeping well at night too.

You don't seem to get it yet, there may well have been NO PURSUIT AT ALL is the pig story now. 5 days later and they don't have any lead on any black bike that was speeding on the Beltway either, either nobody saw anything or Marylanders are big into the NO SNITCHING shit.
Here, I'll copy that whole link above instead of just that little snippet......
Advocates Seek Info on Police Actions Before Fatal Crash
June 2, 2007 - 8:40am
WASHINGTON (AP) - A friend of a man killed in Wednesday's accident on the Capital Beltway and a member of a group that advocates for police accountability want to know what procedures a Prince George's County police officer followed before a seven-vehicle crash this week on the Capital beltway.
The series of collisions near Forestville left two people dead and 15 injured. Prince George's police said at the time that it began when a county police officer pursued a speeding motorcyclist on the Outer Loop. But police now say they can't confirm that a pursuit took place.
Police say the motorcycle rider cut in front of a civilian car, sending the police cruiser crashing into the civilian vehicle. That vehicle went down an embankment onto the Inner Loop, where five other cars collided.
The officer driving the cruiser has not been identified and is on administrative leave.
Nobody has to be a trained investigator to get their suspicions aroused when the story the pigs tell keeps changing......

...stevefl is talking out of his ass again ...
1) recording the tag # only gets you the registered owner's name
2) who are you going to arrest if you don't know who was actually operating the bike?
3) "Rider guilty-yes" vs "Renegade reckless cop-incredibly guilty"
...are you even for real, bubblehead?...it can be inferred by your words that your true mentality is "oh it was just a rider like me...I'm a biker, too...la la la la....we bikers just like to ride...dum dee dum dum la dee da da....we stick together.....la dee dah dah...he was just speeding along...la la la la...ok, its a bad thing but its not that bad...la dee da...and the big bad wolf-cop was mad at him and tried to make him stop...boo hoo hoo...big bad wolf cop....bad bad bad!..."

H-2 I was on North Capitol Street (A limited access 6 lane divided Highway where the speed limit is between 25 MPH at the start and to speed is 35. I was doing 66. DC Jain is a Sh-T Hole! A Policeman friend got me out and I got a lawyer and paid a $200 fine no points (Because I was not charged with speeding!)
We (at least me) are not comdemming all Police. I am comdemming the PGC Police department ALL of them for all they have done to so many people since I have lived here!

I've gotta admit I was pretty nervous in there. Luckily a baliff told me that the Judge was an Asshole and that "Excessive Speed" was a serious charge and that that Judge would've probably giving me a year plus the $1000 fine. It wasn't too long after that that a diplomat driving a lincoln towncar ran a redlight on H st. while I was going up 20th st (through GW campus) and as hard as I tried to avoid his 24' long car, I hit his rear quarter panel at about 30mph but jumped up and cleared my handlebars and his car. Then landed on my feet while running and my tennis shoes absorded the speed leaving upright standing. The GW students thought they had just witnessed a movie stunt and appaulded loudly then asked "Where are the cameras". Meanwhile the driver took off and I chased him for three blocks on foot till he got jammed in traffic.
I then yanked him halfway out of his car and was about to beat him when he said "I am a diplomat!" at which I replied "I don't care if you're Marion Barry, If you don't hand me a couple thousand cash right now I'm going to close both of your eyes and your nose" Just about that time a DC motorcycle cop tapped on the shoulder and said "when your done with him meet me over by your bike". The guy paid and then I sued budget rent a car and got paid again. Sucked too because I had just restored that H2 with new everything. Needless to say it was the end of my 2.5 year, 200,000 + miles courier career and I went back to high rise construction.

nope, 75% Irish, and the rest a mix of Canadian (so bite me fish) and American Indian. That courier gig was back in the early 80's when DC was called "Murder City". 700 + murders a year made it the Murder capitol. what was interesting though (and I witnessed quite a few) was that more than 700 pedestrians that got killed each year. I also witnessed 4 bankrobberies and the riot at a KKK ralley. I was also a block away when Reagan got shot (and I really would've liked to seen that, trickel down my ass BS!) and was the first person alive on the 14th street bridge immediately after Air Florida flight 90 crashed into the Potomac river. It was grusome sight the three cars that were crushed by fusilage of the plane, those drivers were liquified!

...so tell me: Is it the majority that don't want cops to chase because of what might happen to the chasee and bystanders?...ever?...or how about don't speed ever so that it won't compel the cops to stop speed violators?...if you don't already know, most cop action is reactive to something...cause and effect...don't break the law and all we do is eat donuts and do anti-drug speeches for the little kiddies in school...at what point is it the chasee's responsibility for some of the carnage?....why is it so easy to blame the cops instead of the robber?
...here's a scenerio to ponder: your wife, daughter, girlfriend, grandma, etc. was just knocked senseless and lost consciosness and a few teeth for her purse and the robber took of on a sportbike and witnesses said he was last seen entering the freeway during rush-hour...air support is not available...and there's a cop ahead and the BOL went out and he knows the robber is heading his way in the same direction...of course the robber has no idea that the cop is up ahead...and there are no exits for several miles...the robber thinks he sees the red and blue lights coming up from behind (remember witnesses saw him enter the freeway and told the police)...so the robber wicks it up and passes the cop up ahead, zigging and zagging through traffic...and now the chase is on...or its it?...what would you do?...remember: your loved one is back there with the paramedics looking for her teeth and trying to stop the bleeding from her face...
