Bikeland Drag Racers set for Showdown in Maryland!
Bikeland.org and the Dragbikezone.com present The Grudge Race v3.0, June 1st, 2007 at Maryland International Raceway (MIR).
After last year's rainout, racers are primed and ready for action in our sold out 3rd annual Grudge Race at Maryland International Raceway, in Budds Creek, Maryland. Held in conjunction with MIR and Jason Miller's Streetbike Seminars, this private event features morning riders' clinics focusing on bettering your reaction time, learning the timing system, improving 60' & 330' times and a bonus seminar on multistage clutches.
Racing starts in the afternoon with both Heads Up and Bracket classes.
A small number of Limited Edition Grudge Race ball caps will be available at the event for a purchase of $20.
Prizes for this year's event are provided by Bikeland's fine sponsors, who support the online community.
This year's prizes are better than ever, and include the following:
VANCE & HINES - A BRAND NEW INDY SERIES EXHAUST!!
ARAI - A new Arai "Vector" Helmet
METZELER - A Metzeler Dragtec Tire (190/50/ZR17)
MUZZYS - Race contingency sanctioning of this event with $250 cash payouts to the Heads Up and ET winners with Muzzys products and logo visible
DYNOJET RESEARCH - Power Commander LCD Unit
AREA P - $100 towards an Area P exhaust
BROCKS PERFORMANCE - $100 store credit for the fastest Brocks bike
KAWASAKI MOTORS CORP (USA) - Kawasaki "Retro" Jacket
TECHMOUNT - A Techmount!
MEGUIARS - Bike care kit including new 129D Ultimate Quik Detailer
SHOCK DOCTOR - The Gravity mouth guard
Will the weather hold out? Who will walk away with the Grand Prize?
Stay tuned for updates!

Looks like I better find a place to apply my sticker. At least I have a shot at Bracket Racing! Dial in my 13.0 and do it!

WOW!!! I had no idea... "very impressive". I guess I wasn't aware how this works(and have a feeling I'm still not exactly). Kudos to all involved from organizers to sponsors.
Vincent, we marked off an exact 1/4 out here by the shop and have had Deb running back and forth between the lines with a stop watch for a day and a half now(you know, since she isn't allowed to use an actual bike).
See ya soon,
Todd

Anyone know if there's a WIFI hotspot at/near the track? I'll have to see if I can hijack one for updates!

LUNCH!!!! It's getting warm out out here! We just broke for lunch so I pulled out the laptop!
Some good numbers in the cool morning air. We're starting to slow down a bit with the heat. I've seen a couple 8 second runs, 9's, 10's, 11's. Downloading pics, I'll see if I have anything decent to post.
