Yeah-- last year our bike with a kz motor would run high 5.30's low 40's and then with the 18 jets would dip into the 4's or 7's in the 1/4-- we are hoping for the same thing with this one.

Why does that have nothing to do with a Zx14???? it is a bone stock zx14 motor-- nobody makes a 14 body yet---
madmike-- basically the only reason its not self starting is -----Mom wouldn't have anything to do at the track-- she has started dad for many many years and he wanted to keep her busy--- he also pulled the balancer shafts and starter gears.
I know there is a guy in Iowa-- he doesn't respond to his PM's on dragbike? so I have no idea where he is on the project.

Less rotational weight on the motor = more HP.

Get a life dude! It's a drag bike powered by a 14 motor. He is showing what a stock motor can do in that type of setup. What's your major malfunction?

You are not killing that much hp with the whole self starting thing.........
losing a hair of et, vs. being able to self start....., no question, unless you are heads up racing.........
If you ever have the chance to look hard at Craig Treble's bracket bike, it is the way to go for delay box bracket racing...........,

Yeah our main thing with self startign was to keep mom busy--
I just got a Koenig Low Boy chassis to start building my zx14 (oops I mean Generic Dragbike)-That better mark?) and I am going to go pushbutton start on mine. Witht eh 14 motor you can actually set it up both ways-- I am going to put a starter nut on it and just pull the rotor and alt out but keep the starter in it and button start.
I am goign to run a small radiator on mine too-- i am wanting to start it up and ride it back! Mine will be goign on the bikelift soon. Will post some pics of the build.

that is Awesome!!! I know that Koenig has not built a Low Boy direclty for a 14 yet, so did you buy it used? good luck. and that is a great way to do it, like you said!!! best of both worlds...
hmmmm.... hey look at the radiator for a TL 1000, I believe they are very small and would fit up front and not look that bad. I am not 100% but I thought it was a TL...
Call Muzzys they might have some bodywork in the works or done already!!!

We talked to Muzzy about a lot of things at the dealershow and they told us to call-- we did and they said everything they make is 1 off stuff and not for sale?
I have been talking to catalyst to try and get them to make me a body-- they need my whole bike and being in Indiana and them in Cali sucks-- Beasley said late this summer?
I got hte Koeing used off ebay-- you might have seen it-- it had frame, wheels, forks tires body-- basically everything but a motor and brake master cylinders.. It hasn't been started and there are no motor mounts on it yet-- it look slike it will fit better than dad's frame did -- can't wait to get it started.
Not sure why the guy in Iowa hasn't posted? must just be busy like ya said-- He even mentioned having someone to do a body but can't get in touch???
And Yes-- Its cool mom helps out-- she like racing probably more that dad and I!!!!!

I'll have to show this thread to my buddy... he mentioned more than once that he'd like to put a ZX-14 motor in the chassis instead of the 12 motor. Please keep us posted... I'm sure you'll have it running 5.10's as soon as you get the clutch sorted out.
