Old school horsepower...
Building a 1327cc engine for my old Z1. One of my best buds wanted it so I sold it to him. I'ts kinda cool cause I can build the engine for it I wanted with his money.
1327cc, .425 lift Webs, Big head 105cfm@15"vac IN, Pearson crank with big pin and roller thrust, Man the list goes on and on... All good parts. I am glad he didn't skip on nothing. Here are some pictures of the goods. Almost together now.

Look at the deck height. Should have a good quench area. Hoping for 150 HP out of this old two valve air cooled turd! Seeing as I only started with 75, I think he will be happy.
Here is a picture of the bike.

I think he will have his hands full enough with out any "spray" for now!!! I will be taking it down the strip once it's done. I can't wait to hear it run. Nothing like an old Kaw with an open sidewinder on it!

This was my bike back in the day. Sold it when I got the 12. I was lucky and sold it to friend who lets me ride it once and awhile. I bought that bike as a basket case from under a friends fishing boat. It sat there for years. One day I happened to see one of the sidecovers and that was it!! About ten boxes of disasembled Kawi was in my truck. I think I paid 200.00 for it all. Put it back together stock and it was a work in progress. I had very little cash in that bike. Maybe 4000.00 at the most. I was a wheeling dealing fool!!! I miss my old Kaw but when I get my garage built I'll build another. Miss my triple too... I wonder if the 12 will go down in history as a classic?
