dumpster divin' in my garage: we got lucky!!!

while Matt was fooling with his wheels/tires in my garage, he noticed his 45t sprocket was worn.

no problemo, says I, "there's a new 45 around here somewhere". we mounted it and man what a buncha noise from the chain when spinning the wheel on the stand.

how many miles on that chain? "oh 30,000 or so..."

hmmmmmm... time for a new chain, so we went dumpster diving in my garage.

found:
120 link DID barely used; new DID master link set; 18t sprocket perfect condition

whoa! everything needed!!!!

I'm a $150 richer and Matt has 2 new sprockets & a new chain!!!

just thought i'd share the high point of my yesterday

CR,
i am glad that one thing went right about this green weekend...

one thing sure didn't, on account of the goddamn storm you guys in the big apple had brewing.

My #2 son was supposed to fly into hou and play a trick on my wife but can't get outa NYC in time

Our 25 y anniv dinner is tonight and my wife was bummed that all three kids are far away and can't come.

However, I had secretly arranged for our only kid in the states (long island) to fly down yesterday, but those pansies in NYC closed all 3 airports. Fukken Gulliani, I'm voting for Obama now!!

Hell yeah Karl. Lucky break for me. It cracked me up when you said "I'm almost 1000% I sold that chain"...and then went digging. Not 100...but 1000%. Then you found it...all sealed with your notes on the front in marker. Thanks man. The master link looks fine and it's running like a charm. 'preciate the assistance as always.

I didn't full throttle and spray yet. Will need to find an empty freeway to make sure all is well with the new map. I'm sure it's fine. Thanks for the advice about no need to fux with the timing, Ryan. My wife thanks you too...

I know how you feel about this damn last minute ice/snow storm that hit us here in NYC...Im disgusted with it, last sunday was the first points race of the season with a break this weekend and I doubt the 6 inches of this crap will be gone for next saturday!!!

Anyway hope you had a good Anniversary!!!

LMAO about your wife thanking me.

No problem Matt. Glad I could help. As long as you add a little fuel you will be golden.
