a drag bike question???
Ok i have a 2003 Yamaha R1 and i reciently stretched the swingarm 12 inches over stock, my mechanic says that there are no lowering links made for my bike because the set up is all fuck up on the R1's of this year and maybe others as well. Anyways soo were fabbing some linkage and were going to lower it a bit not slamm but an inch or so lower. Anyways im concerned about the stock shock/spring, will it sagg and be fucked up, my mechanic says something i dont get very well, he says that it will sagg like his ZX14 but if he does somethign with the lowering linkage then he can get it not to sagg. What should i do, Buy a beefy shock? leave it and trust him? and how much is a shock??
Thanks

A shock will always help! a good drag shock... but it sounds like your mechanic is kind of on Crack...
here are some lowering links already done, your "mechanic" does not need to fab any...
