Clutch idea!!!
When I installed my second Muzzy clutch I still noticed that the fibres were quite dry even with the holes drilled into the hub. I know alot of you guys re-drill the hub and enlarge the holes for even greater oil flow. But I was thinking that before every pass down the strip maybe it would pay to spray a small quantity of oil directly onto the clutch. Has anyone tried this and if so what were the results. I'm no expert here so maybe this idea is well off base but I thought I'd post it anyway.

Im pretty sure that some people have a lil squirt bottle with oil they squeeze into the clutch between runs. I know Ive thought about it...but never actually gotten around to doing it.

I just lean it over on the clutch side and feather the clutch a bit. Does the same as shooting oil in it. Plus, after quite a few passes, you might need to drain a lil of the oil if you are always adding some! I have no problems with my kit at all. Check your oil level, too. I feel it is safer to run 3 & 1/2 or even four quarts than it being LOW.

I never imagined squirting a whole cup of oil into the clutch...but opening up the fill hole...squeezing the clutch lever to open the plates..and adding a nice lil squirt to it cant hurt

I dont understand the point of having to *preoil* the clutch. (Maybe before the advent of the Muzzy setup) I would rather simply tip the bike to the clutch side and let some oil get sprayed onto the pack through the engine.
If you are slipping the clutch so much that you need alot of oil on it, look into other mods like flatspotting the puller rod.
Besides the fact that the bike should cool at least 20mins between runs for optimum clutch life.

I have well over a hundred passes with just the Muzzy clutch. No modded pusher shaft at all. Plus, no telling how many passes or practices on the street. I have not even adjusted the clutch by the clutch cover yet. Just minute adjustments on the bars. I've "hot-lapped" it a few times when the track is not busy. I ran 17 times the last test-n-tune in less than 4 hours.

Ok, I'll open myself up for ridicule here.
I do something at the track because it just SEEMS to be a good idea to me, no verification that it works, but it just seems like simple physics to me.
As soon as I park the bike after a run, I take the oil filler cap off of the clutch cover. Then, I use a velcro tie-wrap to hold in the clutch lever to the hand-grip. That would cause the friction and steel plates to separate.
I figure that this has GOT to let some of the heat out of the pack and out the oil filler hole. How can it NOT be better than having all those parts clamped to each other in a heat soak condition???
One day I'm hoping to get a mini-fan or something that will just sit on top of the oil filler hole and assist the cooling by either sucking the hot air out, or blowing in and circulating air.... A little fan from a LAPTOP computer would be awesome.
I like the "squirting oil in there" idea, but I ride to the track and don't have room for the small squirt can.
One day I'll hook up that FAN switch too, for some manual control of the radiator fan.

haha...I do that too Al
I just cinch the strap of my riding glove all the way up..and put it over the pulled in clutch lever and handlebar so the clutch lever is fully engaged between runs.
I have removed the oil cap before..but rarely.

I'll not ridicule anything like that. If it helps or not, at least it makes you feel better!! If your clutch lasts a while, then I guess it is worth it. I might try that and see if I can tell a difference.
