We're here at the Antler's Inn and chillin. I heard the track is already pretty packed...Speed channel must be the main reason.

Oh well. Should still definitely be fun.

I just got off of the phone with Buddy and Ryan and it was an good day... not a great day but nice.
Weather was nice, But 10-20mph head wind all day long...
only #'s I have so far...
Karl = 190.###
Osti = 193.###
Buddy = 191.### and this happened with his kill switch lanyard coming off of his arm and killing the motor before the traps.... which would have made probabl close to a 200mph pass! for sure! then bad news on the next pass about 3/4 mile marker on what felt like a very good pass. Buddy's motor Went BOOM!! from the way it sounds #2 rod broke and took out all kinds of goodies. but he shut it down safe and no one got hurt...
Wideout = was fighting gremlins today, I did not get any #'s... Hopefully they will post up tonight!
from what I hear the wind is going to go away tomorrow!!! and it should be a great day for all!!
Good Luck and I hope everyone goes FAST!!!!

I have a new respect for numbers @ Golliad!

1st pass low psi nos 187! (190 GPS)

2nd pass optimal psi nos 189 (192 GPS)

3rd pass had 2.16 instead of 2.5 lbs of nitrous! To add insult to insury bottle stayed only 925 psi max (couldn't get it warm enough....1150-1200 psi)....190 mph (192 GPS)

4th pass: Decided to not change a thing, still ran nos mapping, just ran no spray just to see...launched it harder...minor wheelie in 1st....lil slap landing it crooked.....181 trap (GPS ran outta battery).

Had a great time! Buddy hooked it up w/some nos that got me 190 mph so that was cool. His 1375 and headers are wasted! I am trying to convince him to go to stock displacement, low comp, and spray big....he's going big motor and 80 shot and it finally went bang. Bet he could go 200 w/a big shot on stock displacement forged pistons! He made the offer for parts and since he was surrounded by 5 other 12s the vultures swept in w/offers for his damper, head, etc! I hope he goes 200 on the 12 but since he has a zx14 I don't blame him for wanting to throw in the towel! Lots of $$$ when it goes bang and he's gone thru this a few times now already!

I'm a bit sunburned.....L2M was wrenchin on this damper gettin it ready
Matt was working out nos gremlins as was I a bit
Karl was 1 step ahead of me!
Ryan was smokin!
Hef didn't run since he needs a damper
Boricua ran 177 a couple times which was good considering I weigh nothing and ran 181 n/a

A couple 14s out there....still no Kaw over 200 (yet)....calm winds may be the ticket! Local cat from MD is up there, loaned him a sprocket since we are both on BST carbon wheels (he was suprised I even had sprockets for it!) He's spraying 40 shot with a small bottle and geared for 215 or something crazy.....he'll drop it to 195-200 for tomorrow!

Not sure what LTM's gearing is ... not sure if 12 and 14 oem wheels are the same sprocket-wise but I could loan him out a bigger front AND rear if he doesn't have enough chain to go up too much.

Freezing small bottle nos as we speak, will transfer it once the mother bottle take a hot bath in the hotel bathtub.... to make sure small bottle gets SUPER full!!!

I am hoping for 200 on the nose with 205 gearing tomorrow....for this venue I really should be geared 202 for a decent shot but oh well.

Got to the starting line, no wind! A rarety. Decided to run n/a to clear out the motor....dumb move. That was my only chance at a good run. Ran 185 n/a with 205 gearing. After that it was repeated nos attempts coming up short of 195+

Ran low 190s....beat Entropy....woohoo!!!!! Tied a turbo zx14 from MD @ 194 (my best run)

That run I decided to go to 200 mph gearing and ran with my leathers zipped down....no wonder I felt a parachute effect around my chest! So concentrated on the tach (trapped 11.7-11.8...much better than with 205 gearing!) ... looked up....didn't see the mile marker which meant I was gonna have a lotta braking to do....brought it down to about 10-15 mph and decided to take keep going into the grass a little rather than try and corner and tuck the front with lowered ride height...front tire chirping a lil under braking....made it ok...more to come.

box stock (that I noticed) was 183 with a light rider. There were other modded 14s, but I'm not sure what their times were.

1/2 Fast should know.

Dean,
my bike was set up (spkt-wise) to hit my max est mph at dyno hp peak at around 10.5

My current "lo CR" motor is down 15hp, but figured that full fairings and the longer arm would somwhat offset it. I guessed 192-194mph and geared for it, using 5%est tire slip.

I got lucky and trapped at 10.8 at 193.0; prolly coulda picked up another .5mph with 1 tooth less in the back, but the wind was a much bigger factor than "mic-ing the brick" on gearing.

I love drag racing but 1 mile flat out is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy cooooool!

You got that right, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet many of you guys.
Ran into Bor and L2M in the lanes. I saw mostly all of you guys around the track,
now that I see all the pics, just had no face to go with th names.

What a great time, even though I was slammed with sprocket and air filter changes all weekend.
Didn't go as fast as I would have liked but improved on every pass, gained 10mph from start to finish.
And had to finish by 1:30 on Sunday, one of my crew needed to be back in SA by 3:30 to make a flight.

I'll definitely be back again, next time geared correctly right from the start, and a little more power one way or another.
By the way great pic Bor, thanks!

Top speed 180.569 only addition was Tsugiki pipe no PC3, ran real rich all weekend!

Just got home, did 95% of the 24 straight drive myself, I'm feeling loopy!

Good lookin out on the pics there G! Change the DAMN sprocket next time...man you and Matt!!!!!!!!!

Matt: Thanks for the NOS!
Buddy: Ditto!
Karl: Great to meet you finally and run w/ya....toe to toe....repeat @ MIR?
Ryan: Very respectble numbers outta that big ass motor! Great meeting you too.
Geraldo: Nice repping the A1s!
Jeff: Very good numbers considering you were wrenching @ Pitt and are probably 300 lbs in gear, right?!?!?!?

Who had the blue 12 with the twin devil pipes @ pit on Sunday? I gave him an extra nos gauge...anyways, forgot your name (Screen name George-something?) Glad you broke 300 KPH! I would advise on a 2.5 next time, nothing against the 1.25s....but its just more hassle....tough to fit it w/the undertail kit though.

ZRX DEAN. I will be @ Maxton this weekend and at May...get at me.

See you all in OCTOBER! Now we all know what it will take to bust 200....get to wrenching!
