John in Nat'l Dragbike
I was flipping through this month's National Dragbike Monthly, and in a small spread on the Gainesville Prostar race (rained out...) guess who I see launching with wheel in the air? It's John Upthegrove, of Keystone Heights, riding his ZX12r. This is the stock-motored bike Kevin has ridden to 9.0 fame. Not too shabby!
the best part is - when I scanned it just now - I realized who it is in the backround watching - Rickey Gadson! No pressure John...

John's not online, but he appreciates your support I'm sure. I guess I should find out who TOOK the picture and give proper credit... eh.
The second try with the Web intake cam last night convinced me it wasn't helping. John & I were neck & neck the whole night; 70 v 73, 69 v 70, till he pulled a 62 to slam my 72 on the last run. I could barely get over 140, so when I got home - out came the cam. I give up.
I was also struggling with the old MCR-1 I put on last weekend -spin city. Once you've used the MCR2, it's hard to go back.
