Yeah, but it could be worth the try..............

If you already have a good combo, this could be good, especially if your father in law has a machine shop 5 miles from the house......

pros, very consistent, when tuned right, you just whack the throttle wide open, and let the clutch go...........

not streetable really..........

a must for high hp, but can be used on stock motors if you know what you are doing.......

you can also launch off a two step just like a pro stock bike with no bars if you really know how to tune one...........

Dubious a lock-up is a centrifugal clutch, or at least part ways. There are arms that swing out when spun, these press on the pressure plate adding additional pressure to the clutch pack. Most arms you can adjust the weight and therefor the pressure. With high horsepower bikes even with extra stiff springs you'll slip the clutch. With a lock-up it does just that. Locks the clutch up tight keeping it from slipping.

so the only way you can shift at high rpm is with an air shifter then?

You can "clutchless" shift up AND down all you want...
I have over 25K miles on my ZRX turbo on the street (and of coarse some miles at the track also)...
They add pressure as the revs go up, so for "normal street riding" with the RPM only going say??? half way (a bit higher actually) to red-line you can't even tell it's there...
When you rev-high you do need to "clutchless shift" up AND down though...
And as stated above...the lock-up makes it VERY hard to pull the clutch lever in at "high input shaft speeds"...
With 130FtLb torq on pump-gas and 150+ on race-gas (and more boost) I NEED the Lock-up in my STREET BIKE
