bike fell
I was loading up the bike after a test and tune and didn't give myself enough slack on the tie downs.I tried reaching too far and the bike just went over onto the trailer side.It broke off a 2x4" trapazoidal piece on the upper fairing.I've been able to glue it back in place with PVC cement and so far it's holding.Good news is I'm back into the 9's with no nitrous or shifter.I finally got over the fear of just opening up the throttle but it just spun and then wheelied to a slow 10.58.First 2 runs were 9.89 and 9.90.

Ahhh, thats nothing...The best part is that it didnt damage the bike and prevent you from making passes
Feels good to be back in the 9s, right...

Hell yeah it feels good.I'm not sure what to do next.
I want to get consistant in the 9's so I can get my license. But I also had a stumbling block of giving full throttle right out of the hole.So I don't know if I should just stay in the high 9's and go for the license or keep spinning on the line and work with the launch knowing it will slow me until I get better.I also need to change the sprockets because I'm crossing the line in 4th with the shift light coming on a half second before the line.I use 17/48 now,any suggestions?
Luckily the bike fell putting the bike on the trailer afterwards.I felt lucky nothing else snapped.I guess for bad luck, mine isn't too bad.

The only thing I don't have is aftermarket cams, head work,lock-up clutch and a steering damper.

That's a lot of bread brother. you deserve to be running like that. Wouldn't mind hearing what happens after you get that lock-up clutch though

I'm running about 62".I ordered a 52 to try out.I figure ifthat is too much, I can put the 18 front back on.
My problem is I try to go too fast and I didn't set the straps where I could reach them.Awhile back I had a post ,its all in the details,I just cut corners until it comes back to bite me.This is why I don't like to ride fast on the street.I'm not good at making decisions.

No, these were the straps to hold the bike on the trailer.I have maybe a 10" side on the trailer to keep road spit off. This is what the bike hit falling over.
I don't ride with the bike strapped on the street, altho it does stay lowered(1 1/2").I was referring to those who like to ride at a good pace on the street. If I was to take the extensions off and raise the rear to stock or higher height, this bike would be fun, except in my hands. As Dirty Harry said,a man's got to no his limitations. On the strip ,I can have my adrenalin fix.
