Ping Entropy/Buddy
Didn't know if you all saw, but it's going to be a double header in Houston next weekend!
Texas ShootOut
Sat. Aug 26 gates open at 2pm
Sun. Aug 27 gates open at 9am Make up for San Antonio's rainout.
I'll try to make it down but for some reason I get the feeling I have something to do that weekend, hope not though.

Well if Karl, Buddy, and a couple other friends aren't going I might as well just stay home on the couch in the AC.

88F in the Garage, but 100% humidity in Mo. City! Keep that garage door closed or them mosquitoes will carry you away!
Driving to NYC??????????????? Thats crazy!
Did the head have to be welded on? or just fixing some bent valves and lapping them in?
Karl, will you be back next weekend for the shootout or out of town?

Gary,
i won't make it for the shootout as i will be in NYC, and the following weekend will be devoted to doing the last odds n ends to Buddy's motor. Hopefully i'll make progress tonight.

Voz, Not coming too close to Raleigh, NC; but in any event we gotta get to Olean NY by Mon eve so no side trips. See you at MIR in Oct!

94 Mark VIII, bought it in Y2000 w/61,000mi, ran it to just under 180k; best car i ever had; i'd buy another in a heartbeat. dual OH cams, dual exhausts, run like a Mutha AND got 29mpg highway, 19 around town. Air suspension which automatically lowers it 2" after 1 min at 55mph.
I changed the oil at 12-15,000 intervals, and it never needed to be topped up. Passed Texas smog tests every year, no problemo. never changed plugs, wires, injectors any of that "expensive" stuff.
I called it my "Total Loss Lincoln" because the strategy was to never fix nuthin (more or less). It finally was showing signs of my total neglrct with window problems, mysterious stalling, and the straw which broke the camel's back; AC failure.
LOD (Lincolns of Distinction) is a forum of Lincoln enthusiasts. Yep, it's true, there is a big forum, and full of techinical assistance. They had a $115 chip which would bypass the 130mph limiter, and get it to 150mph, but I never bought it

Karl you forgot the dented up side. That was one sweet car. I enjoyed the road trip to Goliad.
Not sure how great it was for Buddy in the back seat.
