I did it !! 5.90s in the 1/8 mile ....!!!!!!!! zx14... I got 3 runs in before the rain came ...... all three runs in the 5.90s !!

The track was slippery so i could not leave as hard as i wanted too, also i was spinning on the one two shift and spinning about half way though second gear... Our track always gets better after the Sun goes down and the track cools a bit ... This thing is going to run a 5.80 real soon !!!!!! If not for the rain out it would have done it tonight... Smokin ....

Great job for the little mods you have. I see you don't have a pc. You must still have the secondary butterflies in?

You must have missed my last few posts ...I have added 5 inchs to the swing arm ...Best pass stock wheel base was 6.13@120 ... So the swing arm has knocked off about two tenths so far .... More to come ... Smokin..

I'm ready! Mods are coming along slow (not coming). Mods I picked up this afternoon- I bought a Dainese Jacket, pants, and gloves (already had boots). Jacket wasn't in stock at cycle gear, and they promise it Wednesday. So maybe I can give it a try for my first time Wednesday night, woohoo.... I wanted to do a few bone stock passes before the mods start anyway. Mellie will prolly come out again too. For someone who has always been uninterested in racing of any kind, she sure enjoyed the night at Bradenton strip, lol she hasn't quit talking about it.
Muzzy exhaust went backorder on me, at least 3 weeks before they can ship. Dave said its the header and mid-pipes that take so long, as I was open for any flavor of can. I cancelled the order I had placed with Schnitz for the exhaust, PC, and gasket kit. I've got reservations about ordering the only other full exhaust I can find, but Yoshi and several others have promised 14 pipes with matching maps available within a few weeks.
I plan to ride the 14 to visit Roaring Toys in Sarasota, and while there may have them put their lowering links, straps, chain and black swingarm extensions on it (no blingie-billet stuff).

Just got back from Court ...Damn glad i got a Lawyer!!!! Judge looked at my clean driving record and the fact it happed in the middle of the night....He then asked the Lawyer what the deal was and what the Lawyer said about knocked me over!!!! He said MR Smokin (me) was a pro motorcycle racer and just was testing his bike .....I almost shit my pants when i heard that !!!! OH hell i'm going to Jail for sure.... The Judge said ok ... 350.00 fine ....NO points.... and NO 12 hour driving school... Mr Smokin you don't need driving school and don't let me see you back here again....I paid the fine and got the hell out of Dodge !!!!!!! Smokin .....

Hey smoking what was your fine for? What did you get busted doing? I been through something like that, got pulled over after a 165 mph run in a 55. Wasnt a pretty site with the law. In SC thats 14 points in one stop. Would have been better to get drunk and ride, its only 12 points with conviction. Bike is running good though it sounds.
