Custom Maps
Is it possible to get two custom Maps? One for dragracing with racing fuel u4 and one for street using pump gas?
How would ya save/store one of the maps from the dyno shop to use or download into the PCBIII later?.
This would be for a ZX-10R . anyone knows if this is a workable deal ?
Another question:
Paying $300.00 for a cutom map seems expensive.. one guy said he would do it in about 45 minutes.. sound reasonable?..
how long you guys think it should take to do a good job ? $300.00 /hr should give more I would have thought..
Any Info is greatly appreciated...Thanks..

I'm an Tuner & yes you can get multiple maps for diff. apps.
As far as the cost. You're not just paying for my time per se. but the use of the dyno itself which in itself is of significant value.
My set-up alone is well over 50K to reproduce.
Also, if I tune a bike for someone & their a reg. customer I take care of them they dont pay $300.00 per map . What I would try to do is get them on the dyno & map all maps in 1 session. Then they would get a substantial break.
I hope this was helpful.

Hi 1969ca ; do you find it is significant to remap for U4? I just wonder if the custom map with pump Gas ia all I really need...
then adding U4 fuel would still help for an extra 4-5 hp due to it's faster burn rate..... or not??
I do not want to pay an extra $200.00 for the extra Map using U4 ... paying $500.00 for two maps is more than it's worth I think... what are your findings ? or anyones elses is welcome... I need information .....
Thanks in advance guys....

I would say so Salsa1. it would be according to what you are doing with the bike. If you race at a track often, if you daily ride, if you race on the street, if you dragrace or roll on more. or if you need every hundreth of a second. there are a lot of vaiables that come into play. u4 is expensive most dont use on the street. if you want every bit of power at the track then of corse map for u4 and let the tunner know what your plans are. he can tweak the map to give you good running on pump gas and better on u4. or vise versa. $500 for the mapping is a bit much for average use. the pump gas map and u4 will show an improvement but not as much. the vp rep. say 6% over. i will think more with a 4% real world increase with the same map.
