Not on 1300 KAW...

Dean is still riding Chris' Jones Performance Busa...
We had it on the dyno tue. night making fuel adjustments...
Dean said the track was greasy HOT so it was a SpinFest for the entire class...
Dean has run almost 1-1/2 tenths quicker on the bike during testing recently
They had taken a bunch of power out of it by the 3rd qualifying session
It's going to be VERY interesting during eliminations...gonna be just as hot if not hotter...
It's going to be all about "track conditions tune" AND (of coarse) riding qualities if/when necessary...

GO DEAN!!!

Yeah, Memphis gets greasy when its hot. The Nopi race last year was bad.

WOW< look at his mph!!! Looks like some all motor bikes could have made the field........, guess the class just aint growin yet.....

Good job Dean. While you were doing that, I was eating at BB kings with my daughter........, yearly dad/daughter trip, I wanted to come to the track, but that would have been wrong........

Good luck

Thanks guys, we were happy to finally hook up and run a decent number. Like Kevin said, everyone was struggling with the greasy track.

Sunday morning we paired up with Eric Sanzotera of Quicktime Motorsports, #7 qualifier. He hadn't made a clean pass on Saturday. They loaded for bear and pulled it off, running the fastest ET & speed of the weekend, 8.22 @ 177. We left the bike as it was from quals and ran 8.42 @ 176, which should have been enough for anybody, but not for Eric on that pass. Chris & I were disappointed, but happy that we overcame the terrible conditions and ran a good number. We will be back (hopefully with a Kallina head ) in Norwalk. -Dean
