I'll find out in a few weeks when everything is back together. It has been hot here lately
around 100F.

believe it or not my 1317 muzzy block kit is running cooler than my 1270 kit did. i painted the block on the 1270, but left the 1317 block raw. when i started it up for heat cycling i was shocked, at how coool it was. i always ran water wetter in both.

lonnie,
next time you pull down yr motor, look on the inside wrist pin bosses of #1, #4; make sure the rod small ends are not rubbing. On the early billet bock kits Muzzy didn'y have enough boss to boss inside width to accomodate the offset block. that lil lesson cost me 2 motors to learn... grrrrrrrr....

I've heard some have head gasket probs w/the 1317 setup. Did Muzzy offer any compensation for all the grief?
