Anyone running 520 chain conversions?

What brand chain and sprokets?
How effective has anyone EXPERIENCED the RESULTS of the reduced rotating mass to be?
Acceleration?
Wear?

I found a product that claims to have 14,000 PSI tensile strength in a prestretched 520 chain, the highest I have ever found .

considering this with a bike making 185-195 RWHP.

What do the experienced guys think?

Thanks!

you kow that everything counts, But what are you trying to accomplish? are you going to completly re-do everything and even though the chain might hold, how long will the smaller sprockets last with that kind of HP... Hmmmmm...

good points bro,
Thats why i was askin what you guys think!

The sprokets are made of tool steel, stainless, or other materials perported to be vvery indistructable.
I have reservations but wanted opinions.
Last thing i want is a set of cases blown up cause of a drive chain failure!

Zhooligan (still hurts to type that name) ran a 520 combo on his 1361. However, he believed in changing is chain every 10k miles. What product are you looking at?

sidewinder.
They have been in the dirt bike and atv market for eons.
They have not done any street bike stuff yet........
Have heard good and bad things about their products.
Expensive though!

Just a consideration since i will be gearing the bike down and adding swingarm extensions any way so.... all the stock drive pieces will be replaced.

guys he is correct about the chain. i been running it for 3 years and love it. i have a 65" zx12 and on spray about 240 hp. and no problems. i am running sprocket specialist made for 520 chain. vortex makes them also. i cant tell you exact performance gains but you know there has to be some. i am also running pm wheels. i have some already done sprockets for the rear that are aluminium im not sure the teeth # for the original zx12 rim. i think i have a -1 front brand new for the front. i am running a -2 front. i dont ride it daily just race every season. the aluminium sprockets are holding up for racing, i dont know how well on daily riding. if you intrested more pm me.
