Dry Nitrous
Hey everyone! I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers on installing a dry nitrous kit. The only real question i have is, do I have to change the map on my power commander? I have an 02 ZX12R Stock filters and a full yosh rs-3 exhaust system. any input would help. thanks in advance.

as long as you go with like a 40 shot you wont have to change anything.... if you go higher then that you probably should fatten it up a little...

i was looking at the muzzt kit and i think it comes with a 20-30-40 shot...i guess you just choose whichever on you want. i wasn't planning on going over the 40 shot though. using the dry kit...that doesn't hurt the motor or anything? thanks

Buy an adjustable timing advancer and back off a couple degrees. Increase your fuel by +20 with power commander at 100% throttle. You should be able to run that biatch all day with no problems.

I've always played it safe. I upped the fuel a little bit and take out a couple degrees timing. Probably could get away not messing with anything though....

For upto a .32 jet you don't need to do anything, that's 40-50 rwhp.
If you step up to a 36 jet or beyond, you should either run "good" gas, pull timing and ramp up the fuel tables on the PC3, or all the above depending on how high you go.
FWIW, I spray TWO #40 jets on my 1290 bike, it makes 294 RWHP on a basic dry shot. I dont pull any timing (0 map) but I ramped the fuel up (dyno mapped) in the PC3 and I run VP C16 fuel.

it really depends on the kit your'e using (NX, NOS, etc). You have to put it on a dyno - that's the best way to tell.
