Hey Rick... first off welcome!!!
I would start with Schnitz racing first... then do a search on Ballest Weight... you can see some setups...

pour epoxy in the fender, with it off, upside down.......

Take lead shot, like out of a shotgun shell, and pour in it. You can buy it in bulk, like at Acadamy, Gander Mtn., or just buy a box of 7s or 8s, and cut the end of the plastic shell, and the shot falls out. I would buy it in bulk, cheap, and no buffer in it, most new shells have a plastic buffer in with it, would be tedious to separate.

You might contact Tobin O'Connor at 717-792-3708 or 717-424-4037. He makes a disc weight for the front axel and installs them on the axels and balances the whole system. There are 2 discs in the system. I got the ones that weighed 34 Lbs. They work very well in keeping the front wheel down, and I feel they ad stability to the straight line tracking of the bike at high speed due to the centrifugul effect.

The product is not cheap, but he did a very good job on my wheel and was dependable and honest in my purchase.

I'm sure the added weight added time on a perfect run by some amount. I don't make many perfect runs, however. Many times I was fighting wheelies and that increased my time much more than the extra weight.

They worked well for me when I was at 60". I'm way back there now, and don't need the weights as much so I don't use them.

Add weight, but try not to do it to rolling mass........., you will actually gain, by staying same weight, and removing weight off the wheel........, ie, remove a rotor, and add the weight on the nose somewhere..........

I've got another bike that is 68" with a lot of power. If it ever gets finished, I will need the wheel for it, so I don't want to sell it.

If you have stock wheels, you have to send the wheel to Tobin, as he has to remove the brake rotors and grind off some of the hub. He then attaches the weights to the hub and the rotors to the weights. He then balances the whole set up with the tire on it. It's a nice installation, but the weights can't be just taken off and sold.

but, if you can add the same weight and keep it off the rotating parts of the bike, it will et better, and mph better..........

that is what I meant...........

I know et is more important, but, back half is important too, just not first priority.....

I made a tube that bolts on in between the headers and the motor on my zx9r. It was made with some rectangle tube and some creativity. It was then filled with melted lead shot, capped and painted black. It weighed about 30 pounds and almost nobody notices it at the track. Invisible wheelie bars I call it. I think it helped me pick up 2 tenths in the 1/8.
