Brian, have you called Works Performance Shocks? They make any length SHock to carry any weight with what ever Mounting Eyelet size.
I put one on Peggys 250 Ninja and Mounted one on a CB900R Honda what had a Swingarm from the UK that barely replaced the Struts he had.
Tell him the length, the amount of Travel and the total weight and they will Make you a shock for (My guess) $600 to $700 Dollars including the spring

Looks like I have a line on a Wilburs shock....roughly the same price as the penske and seemingly has more features and will work out excellent for my application as its even shorter!
Will let you know how it goes!
