Swinging Pick up is #1, but more Ground clearance? Look at the Rear Suspension arm and tell me where the bike will be lower?

you will have to buy the shock knuckle to optimize your ground to shock linkage space.

I didnt think the knuckle actually did anything as far as ground clearance was concerned?

From the standpoint of lowering the front though, the height of the shock knuckle not as important as height at the oil pan / headers / lower cowl because being near the rear tire, the bike can be angled down without doing so having to make the shock knuckle hit.

It's very relevant to dropping the rear but not as much to dropping the front.

the problem with drag racing is the shock knuckle will hit. after you cut the pan that is the lowest point, and YCIS yep that is what we are talking about...

But cutting the pan allows some lowering (of the front) before that point I thought?

Oh ive lowered the pan...removed the exhaust...and the bottom of the shock hits for me now.

Didnt think it was the knuckle...just the bottom of the shock itself though.

Oh it drags...but its at the point where the shock attaches to that device...I just dont see how replacing the device will fix that as the shock is still the same lenght.

You need to buy a shorter shock and use the stock unitrak suspension arm, actually the one that schnitz sells you can not lower your bike as much as with the stock parts.
