Logging oil pressure w/LM-1: Thx Dean & Doug!

My LM-1 is now logging oil pressure thx primarily to Dean & DougRay; 2 VERY fine gentlemen. Very cool!

with a shim in the relief valve, it is hitting at bit more than 100psi @11k, using Mobil 1 15W50.

Thanks guys!!!! sup: !!!!!!!!!

PS: since you are so helpful, maybe you can tell me why LM-1 Looger just quits sometimes???

Also, now & then the LM-1 just stops recording?????

Karl,
care to share the details of logging the oil pressure.
Parts, cost, process.
Thanks.

Ninja12,
not really a big deal:
1. get a 0-100psi MSI WB762 transducer for logging oil pressure (about a $100)

2. get a brass T from home depot so you can run both the MSI and yr stock oil pressure sensor. (about $6)

3. hook the MSI up to 12V pwr and the LM-1 aux box (gnd & MSI 0-5V output)

4. load this table or one like it into Log Works

OilPsi Volt
0 1
100 5.0

5. start logging oil pressure

This isn't perfect but is pretty close

Thanks,
I like that maybe we can spot a bearing going down before it can do real damage.

Glad to help, I'll hopefully try to log for the first time this Wed TNT. Along with boost, fuel pressure, RPM, A/F.

Thanks for the table values

look at em again

I hooked up the sender to a good qual oil pressure gauge, took a buncha measurements and found that the response is linear as hell.
Bottom line:
0 psi = 1 V; 100psi = 5V.
Pretty simple table, eh?
