Step in Throttle Bodies ??PING!!!!!!! Rob Muzzy, or Doug
Has anyone ever noticed a step in the bore of the throttle bodies just on the down stream side of the blades? If so am I'm sure this is probably an old topic Why is it there? It appears to be about 1mm in size.

yep, and the 48mm (bored out) stacks still have it. I was told it was there in increase air velocity.

Yea that don't make much sence though. I've had two different sets of Hilborn injectors on different turbo bikes and neither had this. The one set I still have now on my ZX11 project are taper bored past the Blades for that very reason as well, but a step don't make any sence. That's a restriction and a big disturbance in the air stream. Looks like a job for Super Man!!!!!!!
Entropy..........We are talking about the same step right? The one on the down stream side of the throttle blades. Closest to the cylinder head port. Not that little bump back at the Airbox side.

yep, and on the 48's its bigger; they bore down to that point and no further

That's fucked up! Why is that there? I see no need for it to be present. This don't make sence and after 5 years of development surely someone has removed it. Come on guys fess up.......

It'll be interesting to see what the Cylinder Head Shop in England is going to do... they're going to "fettle" it (as the Brits like to say) all the way from the valves to the stacks. Will that remain? Will the "boots" still look the same? Will Brenda get back together with Steve, who unbeknownest to her is her long lost third cousin twice removed? Remember, Snowy Brand gets your whites whiter than white!
