I just received my new stroker crank in the mail today. Im currently running a SBM 1320 kit and my plans are installing the stroker crank this winter. Anyone care to share their experience in this matter? Anyone using a power commander with this setup? Im going to need a good map to start with because I dont think there are any dynos close by. Thanks in advance....Chris

Chris,
I have been down a l-o-n-g road with Muzzy 87mm block & 4.6mm crank. Just got the latest build running.

do you have aftermkt rods?? if so you have a titch of clearancing in the cases and starter gear ahead of you, no big deal.

i am running a PC3r and have some maps.

I am running Carrilo rods and have heard there are some clearance issues but was unsure where exactly. I have been so pleased with the 1320 I have wondered what the difference in the two engines would be. I am also running stock cams with a ported head. I have a couple races left for the season the apart she comes...WOOHOO I cant wait to try this setup!!!!

The cases and the timing gear need to have some clearancing; mock it up and you'll see where.

When you get ready to install the crank, if you wanna yak about it, just PM me.

I believe #4 rod on the bottom of the case and the #2 rod on the back wall.I brought my case halves and one rod to the machine shop and hadthem turn the starter gear down until it cleared and then some.Machinist said it was a hard steel because he had to use a special cutter to remove the metal.Doug Meyers said in a post he just threw it in the lathe and held a file to it.I did a search and got all my info on this site.
