I showed up late and bogged my way to an 8.90 & 9.01, both at 171mph. I had tried something different with the clutch, and clearly it was a bad idea But I was happy with the mph, considering the condition.
Kevin went a 9.47 I think on his ZRX, and a 9.27 on John's 1260 -- can't wait until they spray that thing.
Todd Schnitz went 9.16 on his stock wheelbase sprayed Busa, but was spinning his BT56 tire. He thinks Bradenton hooks much better than Gville. The track was pretty slick, too many street cars. But it was fun.

Excellent mph Dean!!!
Sounds like even though it was slick the night was fun with all those bikes that aren't normally there.
Bradenton and Valdosta hook better than Gville but it is a long drive.
Did GeorgeC go?

He was there, but was having trouble and wasn't making passes when I showed up. Still dialing the motor and arm changes.
Hopefully tonite Kevin & I will do a few pulls with the ZRX to get a baseline before swapping out the stock head for a mildly ported and big-valved replacement. I'm curious what might be gained in terms of hp per psi, if anything at all.

Way to ge Dean! 171mph, Man that is so impressive with the minimal aero's the ZRX's have. I wish someone made a full body kit for those bikes or does someone? I like seeing posts from folks sticking with an older bikes (your bike is not really old but ya know what I mean) and than tweaking them and having great results.
My 01 1k ( one of them older models) is the first and only bike I have not wanted to trade in for the latest and greatest every year well maybe that is a little stretch, I did want a 02 12 and would had one if I could had sold the 1k at a "reasonable price" If I do not go with a supercharger this year ( I just don't think a turbo is a good choice for the lil 1070) not a dig to turbos, just not a beefy motor and I want to stay with the being different than the rest route or unless something really impressive is released on 2006.
I will get a ZRX 12 as a second bike. I'm sure I will be picking you and Kevin's brains a bunch for tweaks

Thanks Rick. My motor is only a 1080 - but I think the ZXs might take more than the Gixxer 1Ks. Though Lee Shierts seems to do OK with them.
Big Congrats to Andrew Hines on the new national record -- 6.96 and the win in Sonoma. Good job Karen Stoffer on RU.

Yeah, and we miss you at Gainesville too Harry. Visit sometime, or come to the Memphis grudge race.
The ZRX did better than I expected - 300/169 at 24psi - 329/185 at 30psi. No wonder it's going over 170 Now to figure out the clutch - maybe the 2-step Kevin loaned me will get me some boost on the line and help me launch.
Thanks Stock, Mild to Wild, and Kevin for another good tuning session. I'll report back after the new head goes on.

Yes, I know I suck-Thanks for reminding me but i'm improving. Until I get my 60's and the reaction time down Jax's will do. I will get there and when I do I will get my license. It makes no sense to drive all the way down there when I can't go beyond 120 without a license. I have done 115.91 at Jax sleeping and soft launchs. I won't let off the throttle if I went to Gainesville and would be kicked off.
Nuke My real passion is the mods, discovering new stuff, and doing things different than the next guy. At 45, I have worked very hard, paid the bills off, learned to manage debt (damn now I'm sounding like someones Father now) and are able to do the things I could only dream about before.
Whether i'm faster than the other guy or girl is not at the top of my list.
You maybe quicker but I will always be tricker than you! haha I might let you ride it one day, it maybe a smaller bike than your 1397 but you will, I guarantee, will be shitting and grinning
Off Topic. Not sure if you know Jeremy "Sprintsport" from .WS he showed me a video Saturday of his first skydive. 11000 feet over Herlong Airport . I'm game for it and another person is as well but need 3 more folks. $160 kinda pricey for a 45 second thrill but if your up for it or know of another outfit that is cheaper e-mail me.

Palatka has a dive center but not sure of prices. I see no reason to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft.
I have no doubt that your 1070 will fly - let Dean or Kcadby make a pass at Gville on it!!!
It is easier to run the number at Gville than Jax - i promise - to get the license done.
45...Damn - you would have a heart attack with a Supercharger..hahaha j/k...
