Nobody has any stock motor #s, so i'll put mine up...
Actually my 2002 ZX12 never been dyno'd and the only mod. to the motor is the Akrapovic pipe...The 16-47 gearing, 0-6 coby adams arm @ 60", slammed...
Best 1/4 mile MPH is 152.37, which puts me just over 175hp with VP-mr9...

My stock 02 made 162 with K&N's, drilled stock pipe and a PC3. Added the step hindle and it went to 172. Added the NOS stacks no change. Added a 1320 and a Muzzy sidewinder, hopefully JC will be able to dyno it on the 29th.

Megabyte how many miles are on your bike? Have you run it hard, meaning tons of dragstrip runs, top speed blasts, track days and long rides? I'm trying to justify going back into my perfectly good running engine. thanks

Some of the things I saw was MVR which is Mike Velasco Racing (One very serious Dark haired person that I remember from my old SuperBike days and the Muzzy Short stacks, the only ones I think he makes that will give a real improvement on peak power. MVR Has to be good for 15 to 20 of the HP he made and could never be called a Parts installer. One of the people I have serious respect for!

I've got about 20k on the bike and 8K since the big bore. I wouldn't say I've run it hard compared to guys I know who are @ the dragstip every weekend. The engine has consistently dynoed from 209 to 212. I've only done 1 top speed run, and that was before the big bore. I'm toying w/the idea of adding Muzzy CAMS, any thoughts....
