Despite poor showing, Grudge was great.
Well, the ZRX made one shakedown pass at the grudge race and spent the rest of the day in the trailer. I had low oil pressure on the return road and couldn't figure out why. I got great advice from Doug Meyer and Entropy (who also lent me a gauge), among others, but couldn't identify the problem and gave up. Rrrrrr.
Last night I swapped out the oil pump and the pressure is back up. The old pump appears to be OK, no apparent damage anywhere. Not sure what the problem might be, maybe fractures I can't see, but it's fixed in any case. Once I get a new oil reservoir from Tracy at Speedfab, I should be back in business.
Anyway it was great to meet everyone, sorry I wasn't able to hang out and socialize as much as I would've liked. I stayed with old friends in DC on Fri night, had maybe a few too many, OK I definietly had a few too many, and didn't make it to MIR on Saturday. I was a bit depressed not to be racing, sunburnt, blah blah, excuses excuses.
I would like to do this again next year, or meet folks at the Prostar World Finals in Gainesville, or the NOPI race in Bradenton, or anywhere else I can get to. Thanks to Fish and everyone else who made it happen, the sponsors, and Jason Miller, the folks at MIR.

Dean,
REALLY glad to hear it was minor.
Really NOT glad that I didn't get to spend enough time yakking with you. You have more savvy in yr lil finger than I have in my TeamFatAss and I wanted to hear about yr lube system.
Seems like you and Buddy dodged a bullet with relatively small repairs (Buddy had his adj timing wheel come loose).
I agree 110%, do this again!!!

Yeap! If Dean would have been running.....I'd have been put on the trailer in the heads-up finals!!!
Mechanical Issues really suck when they sneak up on you at the track!!! Very glad to hear that it was not any major damage!!!!
