I wanted to be polite (canadian) yet insistant (american) so I stayed and made them find a receipt ... osti seems to think I handled it quite well...
I'd hate to be labeled a "ugly canadian"

You handled it a lot better than I would have... I would have taken that receipt pad she wanted you to write on and put GO GET ME MY RECEIPT NOW and then handed it back to her...
