Kev, the shop has insurance for a reason, tell him you will pay the deductable. I hope you feel better later in the week to make it up!

wow, sorry to hear about this Kevin ol buddy! As I was reading your story, it reminded me of a similar situation I had on my bike, full throttle, shifting to 2nd, BAM rear bearing goes out. it was ugly. Don't know how or why I stayed up, in my mind I was already down and tumbling.
Hope you recover well, .....stay on that ointment and clean bandages.
Glad to hear that you're (mostly) ok...... Heal fast bro'.
