Anyone tried the new Shinko ultra soft 003?
Need a couple new rear tires and I need some feed back? I am considering using this tire instead of the MCR2. Thanks in advance

My next tire is going to be the Pirelli super corsa...
Great traction and the lightest tire made!!!

We use a Super Corsa on tracks that are too rough for the MT.

I saw a new tire being tested at California Dragway . . .
It was on the ECS dyno APE 60" west bike . . .
The bike went in the eights all day long.
I think it was a Tomohawk tire ?

Any news? We just fitted one and will be at the track in 2 weeks. We also have a top speed event the week after...think it would hold up to that?

Hey guys this Shinko is wider than you think. It says 190 on it but it looks like a 200, and a big one at that! I had to cut the chainguard to get it on! I'm running it next weekend at both a drag strip and an airfield track so I'll let you know how it goes.

Place I bought my Cf windsheild swears by them (not the gay colored tires) he roadraces with them and no problem.

The description appears to be they are remfg/retreads. Was going to post a question on the variuos boards anyone has used but ya mention retread and the flame wars will start.

9.25 @ 153 was last year. Since then we added the arm, spray, shock, shortened forks and sidewinder.
Make your predictions!!

If you ran the 9.25 stock wheelbase with 1270, I'd guess the arm, chassis and spray will get you mid 8s. How long, how much spray?

The 9.25 was with an arm, just not THAT arm . The old arm was at about 65" and this one is more like 67" and has a shock that works instead of collapsing. The 50 jet is actually netting us 65hp.

Let me know if you guys want tires. I can get good prices on tires. Including Shinkos. And I can beat the price that Schnitz is advertising.

Guy we race with here in town has one on his 10R. He said it hooks a little better on the track, and alot better on the street (pretty long bike). However, it didn't last for shit, lol.

Make sure the deals you are getting are for the Ultra soft 3's and not the other Shinko's. I believe I can beat anybodies price outthere. Unless its free.

We'll be sticking with the MTs I think! Ran it on Saturday at Santa Pod (top UK track) with 11psi in (like we do with the MT) and it span first three gears. Dropped the psi to 7 and did a very long burnout and it hooked, but after that it span again unless I repeated the long burnout, which means it didn't last very long. I did get a 1.48 which is close to my best but after 16 runs this weekend (10 on a bad track spinning all the way) it was gone.
Did my first nitrous runs too, with only 600psi in the bottle it went 9.26 spraying in 3rd and 9.02 spraying in 2nd. Tried to hit it in first but missed the button and the 8! Doh! Next time (must get a bottle heater).

There's nothing better than a shootout tire for the track. It's hard to switch once you're used to it.
Nice passes, I bet you were pissed you missed the 8. Next time for sure. I used to put my bottle in front of my truck's exhaust pipe in an emergency.

Is that the muzzy extended tail? or another sort.
I have the muzzy on mine..and with the wheelbase at exactly 68"....the tire seems to be significantly further back than yours....although perhaps its just an illusion in the picture.
