Let's Talk About After The Grudge Event

As you know the Grudge event is an all day private rental of both lanes at MIR on Friday June 10th. However there is a lot to do that weekend so let's talk about what's going on afterward.

Friday night 6.10 @ MIR has a "Midnight Madness" weekly bracket class. Gates open at 6 but we will already be there. Jason will let us stay for free but if you want to continue to Test 'n Tune and enter the M/C street ET bracket class you will have to buy a Tech Card for $15. Eliminations start around 9pm. Normally you can get 6 practice runs or more easily before eliminations but since we will already be "in house" if you do stay for this you can be the first person in line at Tech and get a lot more runs (as if you'll need it after an entire day of grudge racing).

Saturday and Sunday is the MIR Superbike Showdown series. A 2-day all motorcycle event. If you've never been to one, you have no idea what you're missing. Goto http://www.mirdrag.com and http://www.mirockracing.com for complete details. Gates open at 9am and they have many classes including Street ET bracket; 60" Pro Sportbike, Heavyweight Hitters, and many many others. Bikini contest; stunt show and a vendor's row with all the big names like Schnitz Racing have full spread of retail products.

Who's going to attend the grand slam event and who's cutting out after the Friday event? I know I'm staying for the whole deal.

I'll be running two classes during the superbike showdown on Saturday and Sunday. They also have a "gambler's race" which is ET bracket based on Saturday after qualifying for the pro classes. That's a pay in the lanes type event, you drop $20 and could win $$$ big always fun.

Lot's to do!

I love to race so I can do anything! But, I am up for going out on Friday night and finding a place with good food and cold beer! I prefer seafood, but I will be ready for just about anything. if everyone wants to stay at the track on Friday night then I will also! I am going to try and bring 2 bikes, so I can not abuse "jenny" to much over the entire weekend! I planning on 60+ passes for the weekend. so that will be at least 1 clutch change and 2 oil changes........ Oh I am planning on racing on Saturday and Sunday. probably just the ET classes....

I'd like to stay, but that depends on whether my bike holds up and if I am still on orders that late in the year.

I'd really like to run in a big race like that!!

I will race as long as the ZRX holds out. I've been to a few Rock races, but never to MIR, and I hear nothing but good things. With all day Fri, Fri nite, Sat & Sunday brackets, I should get my fill of racing for a few weeks at least.

We should have a class for reliability - who's bike lasted the longest without breaking :P

Who will be entering the bikini contest? Turboblew?

Dean

Mike, The Orient Express TopStreetBike points series takes place @ RacewayPark Englishtown, NJ...The schedule is tight at E-Town, so there are conflicts with other races!!!...

I have to be there because I report the results of the Orient Express TSB Races and they can be read on DragBike.com...

The conduit has been another good spot since Fountain ave.

Now alot of guys go to the Hunts Point Market in the Bronx...I wont do any street racing, if you get caught they take your car or mcy...Not worth it anymore!!!
