air shifter bracket kit

Who is using these bolt on bracket kits, like the one from spencer ? Do you have any problems with it ? Someone here locally is trying to tell me that I shouldnt go with this type of bracket because it connects to the shift rod and not to the shifter. I really dont think it matters but theyre telling me you get slippage. Is it true or is he full of it.

Our bracket works very well..no problems. We put them on everyweek and they work great. Our kit is on one of the Velocity bikes from England that ran mid 7s in the 1/4 @ Gainesville this past year.

some shops/people JUST will not allow themselves to move forward with technology.

We also have a kit for turbo bikes that uses the SAME bracket but a bigger shift cylinder....... Full of it! in other words

oh yeah...just about forgot this one...so you can show your guy.........

Velocity Racing dominated the AMA/Prostar Pingel Thunder Nationals from Indianapolis IN, Aug 21st-22nd, leaving with the Street Bike Shootout win, runner-up, and a new ET and speed record.

Team leader Barry Henson headlined the dominance by recording an unprecedented street bike elapsed-time with a jaw-dropping 7.29.

"It was all in the 330," Henson said. "I felt it the minute it left. We got it to come off the line with a 1.26 short time. I could tell right away it was going to be a great pass."
Throughout the weekend Henson also became the first Shootout rider to eclipse the much sought after 200 mph mark.

"The 200 mph barrier is something I've been aiming for," Henson said. "To be the first to break it means an awful lot to me." Henson's rapid pass propelled him past Kawasaki-backed rival Rickey Gadson.

"If ever was a time I needed 200 mph it was then".

Well I ordered it on friday, started the installation of the rest of the components saturday and finished up sunday. I am using the old style air kill. Anyone use the old style air kill ? I have heard you have to use electronic kill boxes, but I am here to tell you that you dont. The air kill is working fine, had to do a little fine tuning on kill time but got it figured out. Just waiting on that bracket now.
