The best vs correct. There is not a best, but there is a correct way to do a crank. There are several places that do cranks "CORRECTLY". You know the names already........... Falicon, APE, MC......etc

It should last a long time if there is not oiling problems. HP with spray should be around 315 with 175 Tq

A 1290 with head work will make 195 and 100 shoot gets it to 295. Big valves and Cams should get you 12hp and stroking it should get you 8hp. That is aroud 215 plus a 100 shoot. 315, right?

100hp dry shot?? Man, that's livin big! Hey Bossman, you gonna be stationed F. Lewis? I go there every so often to work in the communications center there, and am out at McChord AFB about twice as often. Maybe run into ya sometime. Typically, I'm on my ZZR for work commutes, save the 10R for fun stuff.

I used to love the torque of my stroker motor. Could lift the front tire up and hold it right off the line at a green light, and never break the speed limit. ____________

Hello,my 1403 has stock valves, ported head and larger cams,it made 216 hp,118 lbs/ft of torque. It has falicon knife rods and falicon welded-up the crank,I ran it all season (although not too many passes,77 passes),with 80 horse dry-shot,probably 30 passes on the bottle, tore it down the bearings looked great, the crank looked like new.Hope this helps,Chuck.
