The 1131s are the larger frictions...Thats all you should put into the 12!!!
The 1143s are the small frictions used with the 2 spacer rings, the 1143 are known to break into pieces!!!

???? I've got both and they're the same dimensions. Maybe they were packaged with the wrong #'s on them????

Whoa? Just checked out the "fiche" on the Ron Ayres site.......
The 2003 bikes have alternating -1131 and -1143 frictions (and the smaller friction too). Why? What's the difference? The 2000 just had the -1131's and the small friction.
What's up here???

2002 and later have 2 small fibers and judder springs.
one set at the beginning of the clutch pack
one set at the middle of the clutch pack.
disregard them and use the full sized fibers.

OK guys, we don't have the whole story yet........
Here's what's in each year...................
2000(A1): 13088-1131
13088-1132 (small)
2001(A2): 13088-1131
13088-1140 (small) *note different# than A1
2002(B1): 13088-1131
13088-1140 (small)
13088-1143 *note-same size as -1131
2003(B2): 13088-1131
13088-1140 (small)
13088-1143 *note-same size as -1131
...So.....it looks like the A2's switched the small fiber part# from -1132 to -1140.
Then, the B1/B2 kept that small fiber part#, but also added some -1143's in addition to the standard -1131's.
Can ANYONE shed any light on this. The 13088-1143's are NOT the small fibers. HOW are they different than the -1131's??????????????

CR, I don't use the small fibers. I break the big ones as well. Hell, I broke a billet basket (twice).
I want to know what the difference between the -1131 and -1143 is.
