Short shock?

We want to lower our 1270 some more in preparation for a hit of gas. Got a Muzzy sidewinder, cut the fairing down and will have a cut-down sump soon, but the shock is next thing to ground out and I don't consider the bike to be that low yet. Is there an easy (read cheap) way to shorten it or a shorter shock off another model that fits? Still need adjustability so we can make it squat right, some of you guys must have done this already.

Apparently the Fox shock used on gadsens 12 is a good bit shorter than stock.

Ex500 shock could work.... but its sprung abit soft....lol.

Otherwise like YCIS said.... you could go with a really short Fox shock.

I second what YCIS said about Rickey Gs Custom Fox shock on his 60" 12...Its about 1 1/2 inch shorter then OEM and its like sitting on a board...

fox builds their shocks to 13.24 inches, just like a stocker. Penske makes theirs about an inch shorter. I got a custom one from, Works, its much shorter for an SBS ride I built, really nice piece, not bad price either. Fox isnt making motorcycle shocks anymore either.

boss, your zx12 is 60inches, its hard to find room in the back for a shorter shock. I would have your stocker revalved.

Yes it is, I am running out of room in the tail for stuff also. I had NRL revalve it but I don't know if it helped or not. The more I try and do things to my 12 the more I find out I can't
