It's Alive! 9's are a thing of the past!!!

Damn, after much pain and suffering....finally...The motor Busa is RUNNING!!! It all came down to valve springs!!! After getting headwork done by a "builder", you would think that it was exactly all that they said it was....well, after taking out the "suppose to be" heavy duty valve springs and checking them with a valve spring tester.....um...NOT!!! Thank you Mr. Head Man for costing us alot of freaking $$$$ (crank, rods, bearings, headwork).

Now with the REAL heavy duty springs, head fully assembled by KZZ1 and triple checking all of the tolerances....we are back in business.

This is what I got out of the bike tonight with a crappy 60ft and traction problems....a bunch of 8.80's with the traction issues then....we have contact -

1.57........60 ft
3.93........330 ft
5.45........594 ft
5.79........1/8th ET
132.74........1/8 mph
7.386.......1000 ET
152.43........1000 MPH
8.760.......1/4 ET
163.06........1/4 mph

This bike will do all of 8.60's and I can't wait to put it there!!!

Yes, this is the 1397 will just a little help from the dry shot in top of second!!! With some traction, the bike should go mid 8.8's on motor and low 8.60's to high 8.50's on the button.

I can feel the mph thru the butt dyno The bad thing is that this is going to feel slow in about a month!!! But....at least we have a little payback for all the money we spent!!!

Which one?? The only issue with the ZX12R was a brain fart and a worn out air compressor!!! Battery is now charged, no more aftermarket clutch fibers and a new compressor. Ya Know! that 1270 is the only bike that has NOT given us any motor problems.

Congrats Angi & Ken, excellent work. Your 330's are awesome--- what wheelbase?

Just for my own info, was it a 'spazzy' guy that shorted you the valvesprings?

Wheelbase is about 62". Not really a Spaz issue. We had the first head done somewhere else (That we will never use again) and when we damaged that one, Spaz hooked us up with another one...He even worked over the weekend to get us back up and running. Spaz just put the valve springs back in it from the old head. Now....could he have told us that they were not "heavy duty"....sure....but we did not ask so No blame to Spaz for this one.

Yeap! Lessons learned on having other people do the work. Double and triple check even if they are well known....anyone can have an off day!!!

Glad to see you posting Kev.
