A 1.50 60"should get you an 8.95@155+if your geared better then a 17 up front, weigh 150lbs or less, and live where you do,judging from kevins 9.0's w/stock motor and less hp,with only a slightly better 60'then a 5.0,and him in more humid air, weighing more then you,the 1270 motor should make up the rest,so yes, shoot mid 8.9's,and don't be mad if you don't get em right away, suspension is the key too,buy a Hyperpro shock for the rear,it WILL ROCK,I rode one and couldn't believe it,f--kn ass hit the back and bike squatted and left the hole like a bull frog on speed, and 5 Ripped Fuels!!

I think 8.90's would be a reachable goal. 195-200 HP and your little narrow ass should get it! Practice your launch and it will come.

I have all the modifications you mentioned except I have a 3 inch extended swingarm instead of a 6.
I ran a 9.11 at 155 mph. I bought a 6 inch swingarm to put on this year. So, if you do the mods your talking about we will have the same set up. I am shooting for 8.80's this year. The only problem I have is the track I go to most of the time is called Edgewater but it is referred to as Slickwater. I plan on going to tracks that are known for better traction. So, this should eliminate the problem I had with traction. I could not go with much gearing at Slickwater, I ran a 17.45 gearing. Every time I tried anything different my traction problems just got worse. Once you get the mods done and get some practice let me know and maybe we could schedule a time to race one another.
We are planning on going to the Chicago show. Where are you staying? If you have the phone number, let me know. Do you know if the plans for Saturday are to meet at the ZX12 at 12:00?

Ed,if you run the right supension set up in the rear and have it where it stays squatted and doesn't rebound fast, your traction will be greatly improved, particularly after the 60'that's where my bike had trouble, yes, you can re-valve the stock one,but it's the adjustment that makes the hyperpro kick ass, weight transfer to the back wheel out of the hole is good, but the typical rebound after the fact is what can make a bike w/some hp have traction problems,I spun at the 1000' mark before and I hooked out of the box, suspension is the way,200hp bikes should all go 8.80's period,Ed,what kind of shock do you have?Have you tried loosening your strap?I am not using one anymore(8 over, there is no need),also, the transfer is better with it loose or off,but 3inch arm is not long enough to take it off completely,oh well, also,I did read of pensky shocks for the 12 also, many shocks fit the 12,even if they are claimed"unavalable".
