FIRST TIME OUT TRACK TIMES
Took my zx10 out to the track last night for the first time. hadn't been to the track on any bike for 2 years. the bike is lowered in the back 3 inches and strapped in the front. First pass was
60'....1.790
330'...4.609
1/8....6.795
mph....113.26
1000'..8.672
1/4....10.271
mph....140.42
was happy but mad at the same time. i think that i can do better than i do sometimes but it was the first time. by the end of the night i got it down to
60'....1.794
330'...4.567
1/8....6.704
mph....115.45
1000'..8.539
1/4....10.105
mph....143.20
the guys out at the track were saying the 1/8th and 1/4 mph were good. i was about 0-2 mph faster than my buddy going a personal best 9.72 on a stock busa just lowered. So it would seem if i was 60' between 1.5-1.6 like him the time would drop alot. I know i'm the reason its not going 9s but it soon will be. so i guess the question is how do my times compare to everyones else's on a stock 10. he gave me some race fuel to use half through the night and it helped. dynoing the bike tommorrow. on the 10.10 run i powershifted 1st-2nd and it carried the tire till i shifted to 3rd. this bike has alot more, just don't know if the rider does. mario

You're awful humble Mario. I like that!
I'd agree that your mph is looking pretty darn good for your first time at the track in a while. You must have some skills left.
I'd say you're right, if you can get the 60' to even a low 1.71-ish, you'd be in the 9's.
Good luck man!
