Rev-limiter ???
If you change the gearing on the bike, How does this effect the rev-limiter in 6th gear???
Does it still go by MPH or by RPM or both??? And what's the easiest way to fix it??

the REV LIMITER is always rpm.
the SPEED LIMITER is always based on speed
If you have a 2001+ ZX12R then you have a 186MPH speed limiter, unless you've added a Muzzys Bonneville box to remove it. This will engage when the bike thinks it's going 186mph. If you change gearing obviously this will affect indicated speed. Also note that your factory speedo is 9% off, it will worsen with gearing changes.
The REV LIMITER kicks in at 11,800 RPM (idicated as 12,500 on your gauges). Changing gearing doesn't affect the REV limiter in any way.

Thank you..
So there's no way to fool the speedo into thinking that it's going slower than it really is without a Muzzy Bonneville box???

So what your telling me is that the mph control is done in the speedo and not the black box in the tail like I was thinking it was...
Well that good to know.. I wonder if you could put a resistor in line to fool it??? Just thinking out loud..
Thanks for the help guys...

The speedohealer is installed just like the yellow box. Actually, I used someone's post on installing the yellow box as instructions for my installation of the speedohealer. I freakin love it. Their on-line calculator is tits plus the correction range is much bigger on the speedohealer. I'm glad that I went with it instead of the yellow box.
