If you get 1.39 and have 300hp you would run 8.50's

That's my goal, I believe i can do the 1.39 60'.
Most 1361's are in the 200 -210hp range,
add 100hp of spray.
The big question is weather the 1361/1375 will live long enough for me to
get the job done. I know it won't be easy but with practice.

Anybody think the 1361 will not live with the 100 shot.

The Busa boys are shooting 100 -150.

I dont think the 1361 will live a full season with 150 shot on it... at least not with the stock rods.

I think it would do fine on a 100 shoot. I run a 70 shoot on a stock motor and went up to a 80 shoot for a while.

Karl, on that 8.79 pass, a 40-50hp dry shot would have gotten you in the 8.50s EASY, spraying 2nd gear on. You would have gone about 165mph on that very pass. You should try the AJ controller, spray about 50hp, use a progressive so you can spray about 20hp in 1st, then 50hp in 2nd, that will get you 8.50s. Especially as good as you're riding now days...You get that 60' in the high 1.30s you'll go 8.60s on motor, maybe high 8.40s on spray.. Now get to it!!

Its not that hard....

If youre running a 1290 kit already all you need is #28 pills in a wet kit and a 3 dial Nos controler. If youre not hitting the juice until the top of 1st gear youre wasting youre time. Personally my TFA 220lbs without gear has been 8.91 at 163mph with a 1.62 60ft time.

If you can get low 1.4? 60's you can easily be in the low 8's. I know of a 12 with a 1290 thats clicking the 170mph barrier and we have yet to tune the bike or suspension.

You need to hit the juice before the 60ft mark. Any time you pick up in the 60ft will almost double the difference in the overall time in the 1/4. Dont be affaid to spray the 1290 just use the right fuel and pull out some timing.

Wise move. Better to have too much octane than too little. You getting an EFIR box?

What happened to your Turbo ZX12R?? You said that you would install a cheap turbo system where do you find a cheap turbo system for a ZX12??

Now for a Busa there are some cheap turbo systems as you have found out.
60" turbobusa

1.68
4.09
5.97 @ 132
8.99 @ 159

Best 1/8th is
1.54
3.98
5.80 @ 133

Hoping to improve 10fold in the next few week, crazy new susp. mods....

Because you can't do a 12 cheap, that's why you sold your ZX12 and bought a Busa because it is cheap to do that bike. So telling someone else to do it when you couldn't do it... What's up with that??
Now you are right about a turbo making big hp for the money spent aslong as it's not a 12, Because we all know that you have to cut the frame to make a small air box inside the big air box. The cheapest turbo system I have found for a 12 is $5995.00 and that's installing it my self. Turbo for a Busa $3800.00 installed. So there is no cheap turbo for a ZX12.

DR Joe. Where are you getting a Turbo installed on a Busa for $3800? Is that a Mr Turbo deal?

I sold the 12 because it had a raked frame and I already have a busa also, and I didnt need that frame and shit for the 12. Turbo kits are all the same, why would it be more for a 12? The 12 has its own airbox, the busa has to have one made. And sorry genius, you dont have to cut the frame up. It works just fine if you seal it up. Larger airbox is actually better.....

I dont like the 12, because compared to the busa, the aftermarket sucks, the GROUND clearance sucks, the frame sucks, changing plugs sucks, and just flat because I work at suzuki now, and get tons of free parts. Thats why I built the busa into a turbo 60incher. Not because of any price difference. I put dfi, ignition, 1000 dollar shock, all sorts of crazy stuff into my busa. Its not cheaper by any means. Ive got a turbo header right here for the zx12, if I had one, I would build one, right now, with an FMU and stock injectors, for under 3500 bucks. Wanna bet?

BTW, the busa turbosystem isnt any system bought, I built it myself from scratch. The header, the airbox, the piping, the fuel injection, all of it. I wired and welded everything on the busa. And with the cash Ive got in my busa, I can safely say NO I havent found a cheap turbosystem yet.....

but mine isnt any 300horse max kit. Ive got 450rwhp on tap for this 60 incher

For Ram Air it is better to have a bigger air box, but not for a turbo.
It take to long to build boost that why Velocity racing cuts open the frame and welds in small plenum on the inside to make a real small air box and then runs a tube to the left front air inlet to connect to the turbo system, Then you have no turbo lag and real hp. Yes a person could do what you just said but why?? Why waste your money on a bad turbo design that will only get you mediocre results.. That's what under $3500. would get me.

Hmm th Muzzy street system uses the whole air box with its kit. Maybe thats why Muzzy says it does not need an intercooler?
