Turbo 12 put down 410rwhp yesterday
At the Fast Lane Cycles dyno "horsepower shootout" yesterday Mike James's 2001 turbo ZX-12R made 410rwhp; winning the event by a landslide, 2nd place was 168rwhp Busa.

If I was not in my build, I could have gotten 2nd! Who Cares, the Turbo has never been to Maxton to see what it will really do. Maybe he will let Nick  Ride it at Maxton?

This person wanted Bergie to ride his bike at Maxton but did not want Bergie to actually take it there and wring it out to see how fast it would go. You know the type! They want the bragging right, but do not want to take any chances to get them!

Velocity (when you throw in installation which is required), ARH's, NLRs, muzzy's race version.
The cheapest is the muzzy street kit at still 6K without installation...assuming you knew what you were doing and could install it yourself. Motorhead talked about that ghetto turbo kit...but I dont think it ever came to be.

The Fastest Bike at Maxton and the next 3, plus this bike and the HP Shoot out are all variants of Mr. Turbo. Terry Kizer has been doing this for a long time. You can get most of what you need to have turbo, except perfect carburation!. When and if I ever go that route, it will be up to the Muzz man and Pierre to get my kit together. barring that, then Mr. Turbo!

Motorhead is still working on the Ghetto Kit for the 12.Think he had some problems getting parts together for it

FWIW this guy has built this 12R at least 4 times that I know of, possibly more, and it's a modified mr. turbo kit, i think the only thing that is mr. turbo is the original turbo and header everything else is custom he did himself.
I'm not sure how involved Mr. Turbo was in ANY of the top bikes at Maxton? Aside from being a parts supplier, most of self-engineered / tuned / installed.

Yeap! Me too! We have a "Motorhead" Turbo Busa and could not be happier. He is a great tuner....smooth power curve!

The easy part is "re engineering" someone else's work...lol
I dont know what kinda sucker would pay EFR that much.
The ability to not have a system in kit form speaks volumes about the R&D.
And $6000 for the Muzzy kit, which includes pistons and the EMS? THats $1500 worth of parts alone! Pretty reasonable!
