Bristol results

I was hoping to take the 12 but had a delay during valve adjustment so I just tagged along.
As most of you know, I was stoked about my oldest son Zack getting a new ZX10R. I know this is a 12 forum but thought you'd be interested since it's about dragracing.
He wanted to make some before mod runs. The bike had 1,000 miles on it and it was only lowered and was running Ultimate 4 fuel.
Bristol is at about 1,700 feet elevation and is known to be a tad slower but the weather was good. Had a rain delay but as the evening passed, so did the humidity. Temperature started out in the high 70's and dropped 10 degrees by quitting time.
Off the trailer Zack went 9.93 and had never launched the bike. Times went down to 9.89, 9,80. 9.79 and a 9.75, all at 147 to 148+ mph.
Chad made one pass on it and had never rode it except around town. He went a 9.60 flat at 148+ mph.
I'm here to tell you folks.....Kawasaki did their homework!
The gearing sucks as first gear is sooooo tall. Zack will be back with proper gearing (the axle was at the front of the swingarm) and maybe a pipe and PC.
Dan

Incredible times on a stock 10. Won't be long until the boys give Chip and Rhyne a run for their money.
